A
few years back several of our friends/colleagues were experiencing
nasty problems
in their relationships – all within a short
period of time. It was like a virus.
(Subsequently, all were divorced – some with children).
In a special effort to discover
‘what went wrong’ – we independently and
collectively
began researching relationships – not the
silly surface stuff (i.e., ‘fix your marriage
- buy a new house’ – ‘take up oral sex’
– etc.)
We had weekly discussions to
share findings – and included the relationship partners.
We were trying to find causes and possible solutions
– not affix blame.
What we found was:
(1) There is an amazing absence
of information clustered together under ‘relationships’
(some of the largest web companies on the planet still don’t
even have an info category
titled ‘Relationships’).
(2) There was obscure but highly
important information about ‘why relationships
fail’.
Although we were reasonably well read and educated –
we had never thought about/
known about many of the insights – found in the research.
(3) There was a void in the
marketplace of stable relationships ideas –
so individuals
could learn - and help avoid/prevent the ‘next breakup’.
Later – we elected to create a web based ‘information
clearing house’ about
relationships. That eventually evolved into Relationship-Press.com
and books like
“The Handbook of Cheating”.
If you’re having/had relationships
issues with a partner – this is a good place to find
information and insights as to Why. Many of the Whys
may seriously surprise you. |
